Natural Remedies For Mosquito Bites

Few things are more annoying than the itching and scratching that accompanies a fat, juicy mosquito bite. When a mosquito bites us, we itch due to the residual saliva left behind from the insect’s feasting on our blood! Fortunately, just as Mother nature has honored us with the presence of these buzzing nuisances, she has provided us with some great natural remedies for treating mosquito bites when we do get bit.

Here are some of most-effective natural ways for relieving and treating painful and itchy mosquito bites.
1. Vinegar:

When you first notice the itchy bite, try applying a small amount of vinegar directly to the bump. If you have many bites, you may want to take a very hot bath in a tub filled with water and 2 1/2 cups of vinegar.Recommend using organic apple cider vinegar.

2. Aloe:

Aloe Vera is another excellent remedy for mosquito bites, as well as many other conditions. Not only will it help ease the itching and swelling from the bit, but it will also aid in healing the wound. You can use fresh gel directly from an aloe plant or organic aloe juice. They both work well at providing relief.

3. A Dry Bar of Soap:

Another remedy for mosquito bits is to rub a bar of dry soap directly on the bite. This will help provide temporary relief to the itching. Remember to wash it off throughly after the itch fades away.

4. Baking soda and water:

Another simple remedy for mosquito bites is to make a thick paste of
Baking soda and water. Then apply this paste generously to the affected area. You should feel the swelling and itching subside shortly afterwards.

5. Onion:

Other than making you produce tears, a fresh slice of onion can also help take the sting out of a bite. Simply place a fresh slice on the affected area for several minutes until the itching subsides. Be sure to wash the area throughly afterwards.

6. Toothpaste:

For quick relief from mosquito bites, try applying a small amount of all-natural peppermint or neem-based toothpaste. Allow the paste to dry and leave for as long as desired.

7. Raw Honey:

Simply, take a small amount of honey and apply directly to the bite. Honey also has anti-microbial properties that can help prevent infection. Recommend using local raw honey.

8. Lime and/or Lemons:

Apply a small amount of lime juice directly to the bites. Lemon juice also works well. This also helps in keeping the wound from becoming infected from the grit and grime of fingernails.

9. Essential oils:

There are many essential oils
that can help provide temporary relief for mosquito bites. Are tea tree, rosemary, neem, lavender, witch hazel and cedar oil. Take a small amount and dilute it with water, then apply directly to the bite.

10. Salt Paste:

Take finely ground salt and mix with a small amount of water until you have a thick paste. Apply this salt paste directly to bite.Use Himalayan salt and it works best, but iodized salt
will also work. The important thing is to make sure it’s finely ground.

11. Garlic:

Try rubbing a piece of raw garlic on the wound. It is possible that you will feel a small amount of mild burning, but you should feel some major relief afterwards. The smell of garlic (and neem) will also help repel the mosquitoes from biting you more later.

DON"T SPOIL UR FAMILY PEACE

THE EFFECTS
All spirits contain 65% alcohol. When consumed, alcohol is rapidly absorbed from the stomach and upper intestine. This absorption by the tissues, affects them. This result in affecting the central nervous system which is the backbone for body metabolism to function. It also results in dilation of blood vessals, including those to the skin. This may alter the normal blood flow.
Dilated blood vessals result in loss of heat from the skin. This cause the body to cool but the drinker feels it warm. This is due to the entry of alcohol into blood stream.
Tests have shown reason for their feeling of elation. This is due inhibitions through removal of the restraining influences of the cerebral centers. The cerebrum and cerebellum is affected by advent of alcohol.
Advent of alcohol
0.15% - mild intoxification
0.3% - partial loss of consciousness
0.6% - endangers life
It was discovered that stomach of women absorbs alcohol in lesser rate than in men. Alcoholism depends on amount of liquor consumption. It is characterized as an illness when consumption of alcohol interferes with the physical or emotional health. Excessive alcohol consumption will produce physical and physiological addiction and thus leading to nutritional and emotional disorders. Alcohol strength is the amount of alcohol in a drink. If this concentration then more amount of alcohol enters brain cells.
This leads to the following disorder:
loss of consciousness
metabolically weak
liver cirrhosis
nervous disorder
heart disease
blood vessal damage
expression of cancer cells
affects normal metabolism
nervousness
eyesight damage
Now recent researches have shown that alcohol consumption is major cause of death with affecting diseases
Now days there are cases filed against drunken drivers but there is no reduction in tasmark shops.
People have more passion than aversion in consuming these drugs.
The reason for giving the positive aspects of tobacco and alcohol in this essay is to educate people that these can be used in useful ways other than consuming.
Actual reason for inventing wine is to warm up in cold countries like Europe and America, where they desperately need warm surroundings. They know the limits of drinking. But in tropical countries like India there is no need for these beverages. But a survey has given result that alcohol is consumed by more people in India than in other cool countries. Europe has almost stopped alcohol consumption.
Now this is the right time to think whether tobacco or alcohol is necessary.

DON"T SPOIL UR HEALTH BY SMOKING!!!!

EFFECTS OF TOBACCO
Nicotine is poisonous substance which enters lungs of person who inhales the smoke. It is one of the most powerful poisons known. It is addictive to humans. It is the component of cigarette smoking that causes physical addiction. The leaves are prepared for chewing or as a snuff.
It forms a deposit over the pleura of the lungs.
This cause the following,
breathing illness
tuberculosis
bulging of lungs
liver cirrhosis
narrowing of oesophages
hormone imbalance
cancer in lungs
mutation in genes
About 35% of cancer is caused by tobacco, 90% lung cancer is caused due to smoking tobacco. Passive smokers are the persons who are affected by the people smoking around. Even they are affected with lung cancer. The smokers not alone spoil their life, but also the people near them. Smokers’ genetic factors get altered like expression of cancer gene, which may get transferred to the next generation; hence their generations suffer a lot.
Bulging of lungs leads to veezing, sinus, pleural effusion, accumulation of fluid in pleura etc.
The bulged lungs occupy more space leaving less space for oesophagus and heart which may result in cardiac effusion.
These changes in body alter secretion of more or less hormones which may affect the brain and result in coma or brain damage or brain death.
These problems inside the body may affect the normal metabolism.

ABOUT ALCOHOL

The second major addiction is consumption of alcohol. It is a product of fermentation process. It is a process of breakdown of sugars by bacteria and yeast using a method of respiration without using oxygen. This is the principle process involved in production of bread; beer; wine; cheese; yoghurt; soy sauce etc. In baking and brewing, yeasts ferment sugars to produce ethanol and CO2. This ethanol is that found in beer and wine. It is a colourless liquid with a pleasant odour, miscible with water or ether; it burns in air with a pale blue flame.
The following are uses of ethanol:
The vapour of ethanol forms an explosive mixture with air and and used in high compression internal combustable engines.
It is used as a raw material for manufacture of ether, chloral and iodoform.
It can be added to petrol, where it improves the performance of engine
It is used as solvent for gums, resins, varnishes
To prepare oils in perfumery
It is used for preparing medical substance in pharmacy
95% ethanol is cleansing agent in labs and hospitals as it destroys microbes
Preparation of ethanol is done from absorption of ethane and subsequent reaction with water or by reduction of ethanal in the presence of catalyst.
Ethanol or ethyl alcohol, C2H5OH is a colourless liquid. It is the basis of all common intoxicants: wine, ciders, sherry. Malt liquors are beers and stouts in which the starch of a grain is converted into sugar by malting; sugar is then fermented into alcohol by yeast. Spirits are distilled from malted liquors or wine. This can contain about 55% of alcohol. All fermented liquids contain 20% of alcohol.
The above are the positive aspects in tobacco and alcohol
Now the negative aspects while it is consumed

ABOUT TOBACCO

Nicotiana tobacum is the generic name given to tobacco by international council of binomial nomenclature (ICBN). Tobacco is a large leaved herb of nightshade family solanaceae. It takes the native of tropical parts of America. Tropical region is that which lies in-between the tropics. Tobacco is widely cultivated in warm dry climates. The leaves are cured, or dried and matured in storage for two to three years before use. The leaves also yield an alkaloid, physiologically active and poisonous substances made up of organic bases and nitrogen. Alkaloid produced by tobacco is nicotine,C10H14N2. It is colourless oil, turns brown on exposure to air and soluble in water. This is used as pestiside. This was first extracted by Jacques Nicot in France.
